The Chicago Bears are making a significant addition to their coaching staff by hiring Press Taylor as their passing game coordinator, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. Taylor brings a wealth of experience to the Bears, having spent the last three years as the offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he worked closely with quarterback Trevor Lawrence under head coach Doug Pederson.
In his new role with the Bears, Taylor will collaborate with quarterback Caleb Williams under the guidance of head coach Ben Johnson and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. This move signals the Bears' commitment to enhancing their passing game and overall offensive strategy. Taylor's NFL coaching journey began in 2013 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He steadily climbed the ranks, becoming the quarterbacks coach in 2018 and adding the passing game coordinator title in 2020. In 2021, the Indianapolis Colts hired him as a senior offensive assistant, and by 2022, he had earned his first coordinator position.
