According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball will undergo re-evaluation in one week following a left ankle sprain he sustained on Monday. Ball, who has been averaging 28.2 points and 7.3 assists this season, suffered the injury during the Hornets' game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The injury occurred when Ball stepped on Jarred Vanderbilt's foot while backpedaling, causing him to fall and hit his head on the floor. Despite the scare, Ball managed to walk off the court under his own power. The Hornets will closely monitor his recovery over the next week to determine his availability moving forward.
