With the NFL's 2025 head coaching cycle coming to a close, the New Orleans Saints are the only team yet to fill their vacancy. After a disappointing 2-7 start to the season, the Saints decided to part ways with head coach Dennis Allen and appointed Darren Rizzi, their special teams coordinator, as the interim head coach for the remainder of the campaign.
As of now, the Saints are down to two candidates to fill the head coaching position following Mike McCarthy's withdrawal from the race on Tuesday. The remaining candidates are Mike Kafka, the offensive coordinator for the New York Giants, and Kellen Moore, the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles. General manager Mickey Loomis and the Saints' front office are carefully considering their options to ensure they make the best possible hire for the team's future.
