The Carolina Panthers are bolstering their defensive coaching staff with the addition of Renaldo Hill, the former Chargers defensive coordinator. Hill's specific role with the Panthers is yet to be confirmed, but he brings a wealth of experience in coaching and playing in the secondary, making him a valuable asset to the team.
On Wednesday, the Panthers also welcomed outside linebackers coach AC Carter to their staff. With Hill on board, head coach Dave Canales will have a strong group of defensive coaches to rely on, including defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero. Hill served as the Chargers' defensive coordinator in 2021 and 2022 before spending a year with the Dolphins as their defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator. His expertise will be crucial as the Panthers look to strengthen their defense. With Hill's addition, the Panthers now have three former coordinators on their coaching staff, including defensive line coach Todd Wash and senior defensive assistant Dom Capers. This experienced group is expected to enhance the team's defensive strategies and performance in the upcoming season.
